spring 2008 - new vans at gravitypope!
The spring 2008 Vans have arrived at gravitypope and they couldn't have come too soon. I love to grab a couple of pairs of vans because they last forever, they're comfortable, and you can wear them with nearly anything. Vans always finds a way to re-imagine their classics in great new ways.
Designer collaborations are popping up in nearly every popular sneaker brand lately. Converse has worked with John Varvatos, Puma with Alexander McQueen, and most sneakerheads are familiar with the extremely popular Marc Jacobs Vans. This season Vans continues to work with a-list designers by producing a limited line of their classics in the Paul Smith stripes. This series of sneakers are a nice addition to this season's line of sneakers. Make a Vans shoe in a classy pattern and they look almost dressy, and these Paul Smith Vans are no exception.
Available in the Classic Slip-On, the Sk8 Hi, and the Chukka Boot, any Vans fan should be able to find a pair of Paul Smith stripes to adorn their feet.
Next to the 'Chukka Boot', the low cut lace up 'Era' is my favourite Vans shoe, they have a great casual look and an old school sneaker feel. This season, a number of different era styles has arrived at gravitypope.
Vans really seems to know their customers and their place in pop culture. The Vans Classic Slip-On is almost an icon of footwear in skateboarding, fashion and music. Vans offers such a wide variety of finishes and materials, but also offering limited edition sneakers from famous designers and famous bands almost any Vans fan can find something new and exciting to buy every season.
Vans has brought back a new version of the Iron Maiden Vans, the 'Troopers' in the 'Sk8 Hi' and the 'Classic Slip-On' will make thrashers and former thrashers alike very happy. If you picked up last season's Iron Maiden 'Killers' you've got a great little metal Vans collection going. Moving into slightly more alternative rock scenes, new this season are the Johnny Ramones Vans in the 'Classic Slip-On'.
There's plenty more Vans to see in gravitypope stores in Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver and at gravitypope.com!
